Tanka
by Lanie Shanzyra P. Rebancos

Melted snow
on the pavement
puddles
wet tracks of galloshes
on my floor.

Panorama on the
hillside
crayons
scattered
around.

His geta
beside the futon
old
still in the corner
where he left.

Kimono in the
trunk
worn-out
from the kabuki
a long time ago.

Lonely days of my
childhood
alone
in the rain
after class.
