Terms of Agreement
All written submissions should be in plain text format, and may be of various lengths. Where possible, include any relevant links along with news and/or feature stories, photo essays, or works of fiction. Please send all written, and artistic submissions directly to the Managing Editor.

Photo essay submissions should have a central theme and/or tell some kind of story. Your photo essay should be accompanied by a clear and short description of the project. All images should be in TIFF or JPEG format. They should be sent for review to the Photo Editor.

The Foreigner - Japan reserves the right to display any article, photograph or work of fiction in a manner of our own choosing.

The Foreigner - Japan has the right to print any and all original material submitted by writers and artists to said publication. However, if the authors and photographers wish to use their material in another form of publication, they are free to do so, unless it comes in conflict with The Foreigner - Japan's own right of publication. This includes all photos, fiction, news, features and/or illustrations submitted to The Foreigner - Japan.

All submitted material must be original work. The Foreigner - Japan is not responsible for any copyright infringements due to material submitted to us which has been previously published unknown to us, in any form. Should any such material be found on our site, please contact the Webmaster immediately, and it will be removed the same day.
